Story

Hey, Y'all!

Welcome to my page!!

My name is Jennifer Lesniak and I am a lover of Jesus, family and freedom.  Oh yeah, I love all things old, chippy, and rusty.  Good ole antiques!!

Let me tell you a little about myself.  I am married to my best friend and soulmate and without God and him by my side, I wouldn’t have ever considered an event.  I have four children that are my world and this past summer gained a daughter.

I was a nurse for 15 years when I felt God calling me to stay home with our children, (total God story).  Ask me someday, I would love to share.

My heart has always been in the home, making a house a home.  For me, home décor is part of that.  From farmhouse style, primitive, cottage, industrial, chic, to antiques.  I also love barn sales, yard sales, junkin, or just dumpster divin.  Our family lives in Bedford County, Virginia nestled at the bottom of the Blue Ridge mountains.  All together we live on 75 acres with our extended family as well.   Our gorgeous view is the Peaks of Otter.  What a blessing to see those mountains every day.  I love the country and the peace it brings to our family.

I had been talking about doing a market for several years but I let fear take hold.  Well I decided, no more and in 2017, my husband and I went for it.  What a blessing it has been!!!  This year will be our 8th year and we couldn't be more excited.

Mountain view brings you 55 plus vendors/local businesses all in one spot.  One stop shop!  Antique and handmade artisans!  We have vintage, candle, jewelry, soaps, crotchet, jams, clothing, sign vendors and so much more.  We have several food trucks and of course live music!!!

Want to know why Mountain View is unique?  There are several reasons.  Let me tell you.

1)  Jesus comes first!  This event was and is prayed for continuously.  We want you to leave here feeling welcomed and loved.  We Shine Jesus’ love.

2) It is once a year, not once a month.  More reason to come.

3) I am very passionate about not oversaturating with similar vendors, that is why I don't accept everyone.   I am not being mean, I just think it's important for the vendor and the customer.

4) I keep it smaller so it's more warm and cozy, family friendly.

5) We strive to bring you amazing photo ops with the beautiful peaks in the background.  Pics you can print and frame.

6) There is nowhere you look that you don't see the Peaks of Otter.

7) We are here to serve you and want to make sure you feel it when you leave.

8) WE GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY!  At MVVM we always give back a portion of proceeds to Family Life Services, an adoption agency that our niece and nephew were adopted from.  Not only this event but throughout the year as well, coat drives, care packages to nursing homes, cancer center, Isaiah house and more.

This is a little about us.  Please come introduce yourself when you come.  I love to meet each of you!!

We hope you will come out this year and support local businesses!  We are excited to see you!  Don't forget to grab your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, even a stranger.  :)
